The experiment involves presenting visual and auditory stimuli to participants in order to test their ability to identify a specific target stimulus. The stimuli consist of two different sounds and two different Gabor patches, and participants are asked to identify which of the four stimuli is the target.
During the experiment, participants are presented with one visual and one sound stimulus at a time. They are instructed to press the SPACE bar when they believe one of the presented stimuli is the target. If the participant correctly identifies the target, a green light is shown as feedback, while a red light is displayed if they choose a non-target stimulus as the target. If the participant does not press the SPACE bar, no feedback is given.
**Task**
During each trial you will be presented with an auditory stimulus (sound) and visual stimulus (Gabor patch) simultaneously. One of the stimuli (either sound or picture) is a target stimulus. Please, press the SPACE bar when you believe one of the presented stimuli is the target.
If you press the space bar correctly (when the target stimulus is on) you will see positive feedback - green light.
If you make a mistake (press the space bar when the target stimulus is NOT presented), you will see negative feedback - red light.
If you don't press the space bar, no feedback will be given.
Target stimulus will be presented more than once. You should try to "catch" it as many times as you can. The stimuli last 1 second. If you press the space bar after 1 second, it will not be registered. During the test, the stimuli (including target stimulus) will change several times.
